Dr Altes is a psychologist in private practice with over 20 years experience experience working with children and their families to help support healthy development, emotional growth, and academic success.  

Dr. Altes has broad experience in the diagnosis and assessment of learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, and emotional problems that interfere with academic success in students from elementary school through graduate school.  She makes recommendations that help students regain their sense of hope and mastery so they can achieve their full potential.  Her psychoeducational testing has been accepted by professional licensing boards, educational testing services, and universities.

Dr. Altes has both extensive training and experience in working with children and families through the divorce process.  She is a trained collaborative divorce coach and child specialist, a co-parenting specialist, and a child custody evaluator.  Dr. Altes works to support families and children as they move through the many transitions of divorce, believing that the collaborative divorce process and co-parenting work can reduce the distress that children and parents experience as the family separates and reforms.
