Through the guided process of equine facilitated experiential learning and equine assisted psychotherapy, horses provide a mirror, a reflection of our inner state of being. As prey animals they are exquisitely sensitive, using emotion as information. Among the many lessons they teach us, horses demonstrate the power of self-awareness, authenticity and honesty in relationships. Personal growth occurs through the combined process of intuitive reflective work with the horses and skilled therapeutic facilitation. Patricia Vitiello, LCSW psychotherapist, corporate/life coach and Epona Advanced Instructor in equine therapy has advised individuals, couples, families, and corporations since 1972. She is experienced in mental health and substance abuse counseling, EAP and business consulting, and executive coaching. Patricia has had horses in her animal family for 20 years and is located on a peaceful, private setting of 2.5 acres in Lakeside. All sessions focus on safety, self-awareness, support, and gentle interaction with horses, and no previous equine experience is necessary.
